🌿 Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy for Moms
1. What happens during the first session?
Your first session is a full 50 minutes focused entirely on you. This is where we slow things down, talk about what’s been feeling heavy, and begin to make sense of what you’ve been carrying. We’ll clarify what’s been hardest lately, explore what kind of support would help most, and start creating a plan that actually fits your life. You’ll leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer path forward.
2. Do I need to have it all figured out before starting therapy?
Not at all. Most moms reach out feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or guilty for not “just handling it.” You don’t need perfect words or a plan — therapy is the place to figure it out. We’ll start right where you are and move at a pace that feels doable.
3. How do I know if this will be the right fit for me?
You’ll get a sense of that in our very first session. My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply specialized in supporting moms navigating postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and the mental load of motherhood. If something doesn’t feel right, we’ll talk about it — therapy works best when it feels like a safe, supportive match.
4. What if I’m not sure I’m ready to start?
That’s completely okay. Taking this step can feel big. Many moms tell me they waited months before reaching out — but after their first session, they wish they’d started sooner. This isn’t about doing everything perfectly; it’s about finally having space for you.
